About the conference
Child sex abuse is a global problem and demands a holistic, global response. All of us - whether in the public, private or voluntary sector - have a crucial role to play. And genuine and meaningful partnerships need to be established and nationality put aside if we are to truly tackle this horrific phenomenon.
Co-operation and collaboration are the hallmarks of the Virtual Global Taskforce (VGT), an international alliance of law enforcement agencies from across three continents. And, following the success of the first VGT conference in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in November 2005, the work of the VGT is now being brought to the United States.
Find out more about the work of the VGT and the very latest in tackling this global crime by joining us at the second international VGT Conference in Washington D.C. on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd February 2007. Explore the roles that different sectors can play, hear at first hand how sex offenders are operating both on and offline and, above all, come with your ideas on how together we can make a meaningful and long-lasting impact.
